Richard D. Tennant

Richard D. was born on January 4th, 1797 in Jakes Run,Clay District,Monongalia Co. Virginia. Richard D.'s father was Peter Tennant and his mother was Elizabeth Brown. His paternal grandparents were Richard Tennant and Elizabeth Haught; his maternal grandparents are Adam Brown and Rosanna Mouse. He had three brothers and a sister, named Adam Brown, Nimrod, Enos and Rebecca. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 89 on November 14th, 1886 in Jakes Run,Clay District,Monongalia Co. Virginia.

General Notes
- buried in a small, well kept cemetery in Monongalia County, W.Va. name Tennant Chapel Cemetery. Departed this life within one mile of his birthplace. Is on his head stone.
