John Wilton

John was born about 1837 in North Petherwin, Devon, England.¹ John's father was Richard Wilton and his mother is Mary Greenland. His paternal grandparents were John Wilton and Elizabeth Roberts. He had four brothers and four sisters, named William, Walter Greenland, Thomas, Richard, Elizabeth, Mary, Martha and Emma. He is the youngest of the nine children.
