Dorothy was born in 1644 in St Breock, Cornwall, , England. Dorothy's father was John Wilton and her mother was Mary Burell. Her paternal grandfather was Robert Wilton and her paternal grandmother is Dorothy Blake; her maternal grandfather was Arthur Burell and her maternal grandmother is Mary Buller.
