Edmond's father was Henricus Aneca and his mother was Elodie Deleye. He had a brother and three sisters, named Kamiel, Marie, Hélène and Amelie. He had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Maurice, Charles, Madeleine, Bertha, Irène, Irma and Godelieve.
