General Notes
- I tried the Qld State Library for records of his arrival in Aust. possible at Bowen or Townsville in the 1860's.However their records were lost in the 1974 floods. They sugested I try the Morman church at edge hill Ph 4032 4861 I did receive a copy of his Aust. Naturalization Certificate Dated 1 Feb 1883 This gives his residence as Townsville Aged 43 His place of birth as Prussia and his occupation as a carrier. This certificate was registered in Bowen. Qld State Archives Roll no M1756 Supreme Court .Nth District Bowen. Oath of Naturalization 1882-1887 (Q.S.A. location no A/17813)
  He possablely left Townsville appro 1882/3 and went to Croydon Records in Croydon shows that he was in hospital in 1906 when he was 65 years old Records show he died on Sunday the 6 Aug 1911, aged 72 years old, in Croydon of Senile Debility signed by Dr Ward. He was buried on Monday 7 Aug in the Croydon Cemetry in Lot No A317 The Undertaker was T.L. Reynolds and the minister was Rev I Prankerd Church of England.
  He onced owned at different times , the Union Hotel in Croydon from1899 to 1900 ,the Waratah Hotel in Waratah from 1896 to 1898 And the Goldstone Hotel Goldstone 1894 to 1895
