Mary was born on October 29th, 1834.1   Mary's father was John Diamond and her mother was Jane McNeil.  Her maternal grandparents were James McNeill and Jane Smilie. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Luke, William, James, John , Enoch, Benjamin, Nancy and Sarah.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  She died at 3 months old on February 9th, 1835.
