John was born on October 9th, 1938.  John's father was Alfonso George McMartin and his mother was Binnie Mae Morrison. He had four brothers and three sisters, named George , Robert, Thomas, David, Carolyn, Evelyn and Judy.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died on October 9th, 1938.
