Henry was born about 1161 in Of, Fillongley, Warwickshire, England.  Henry's father was William HASTINGS and his mother is Maud BANASTER.  His paternal grandfather was Hugh HASTINGS and his paternal grandmother is Erneburgh DE FLAMVILLE; his maternal grandfather is Thurstan BANASTER. He had a brother named William.  He was the older of the two children.  Henry is no longer alive.
