William De was born about 1112 in Of, Greystoke, Cumberland, England.  William De's father was Ives (Ivo) De GREYSTOKE and his mother is Agnes FITZWALTER.  His paternal grandfather was Forne De GREYSTOKE and his paternal grandmother is Mrs. Forne De GREYSTOKE; his maternal grandfather is Walter. He had four brothers and a sister, named Walter De, Robert De, Adam De, Henry De and Alice De.  He died after 1161.
