Margaret was born in 1602 in Hampsfield, Lancs, England.  Margaret's father is Edward COWPERTHWAITE and her mother is Mabel BARROW.  Her paternal grandfather was Nicholas COWPERTHWAITE and her paternal grandmother is Margaret Mrs COWPERTHWAITE; her maternal grandparents are Hugh BARROW and Mabel TAYLOR. She had six brothers and a sister, named Nicholas, William, John, John, George, Thomas and Agnes.  She died in Meathop, Westmoreland, England.  Her burial was on June 10th, 1678 in Meethop, Westmoreland, England.
