Thomas was born in 1655 in Watertown, Suffolk, Massachusetts.  Thomas' father was John CLOYES CLAYES and his mother was Abigail.  His paternal grandparents are Peter CLOYSE and Mrs. Peter CLOYSE. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John Clayes Or, Peter, Nathaniel Clayes Or, Nathan, Abigail, Sarah and Hannah.  He died at the age of 35 in 1690 in Massachusetts Or Maine.
