John was born in 1525 in Dedham, Essex, England and his baptism took place there in 1525.  John's father was Thomas BUTTER (BUTLER) and his mother is Joane Mrs BUTTER. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named William, Gilbert, Agnes, Miss, Alice, Agnes, Sibel, Margaret and Alice (The Younger).  He died at the age of 30 on August 20th, 1555.
