Maria was born on September 8th, 1814 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales.  Maria's father was John Barnett OBRAY (AUBRAY, AUBREY, OBREY) and her mother was Eleanor ALLEN. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named William, George, John, Thomas "Lorenzo", Robert, Samuel William, William, Thomas Infant, Maria Or Mariah, Elizabeth (Betsy) and Ellinor Or Eleanor.  She was the third oldest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 65 in November 1879.
