Hedwig, Princess Of was born in 1184 in Of, Orlamunde, Sachsen-Altenburg, Thuringia.  Hedwig, Princess Of's father is Hermann I, Landgrave Of THURINGIA and her mother was Sofie, Countess Of SOMMERSCHENBURG.  Her maternal grandfather is Friedrich, Count Palatine Of SOMMERSCHENBURG. She had a brother and three sisters, named Ludwig IV "der Heilige" Landgrave Of, Jutte, Princess Of, Irmgard Princess Of and Agnes, Princess Of.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 63 in 1247.
