Robert was born in 1240 in Of, Averham/aram, Nottingham, England.  Robert's father was Rowland De SUTTON and his mother is Alice De LEXINGTON.  His paternal grandparents are Hervey SUTTON and Mrs. Hervey; his maternal grandfather is Richard De LEXINGTON. He had a brother named William.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died about 1291.
