Ralph Le was born about 1148 in Of Little Ercal, Shropshire, England.  Ralph Le's father was Roland Le STRANGE and his mother is Matilda Le BRUN.  His paternal grandfather was Guy Le STRANGE; his maternal grandfather was Ralph FitzHerlewin HUNSTANTON (BRUN) and his maternal grandmother is Helewisa De PLAIZ. He had three brothers named John Le, Hamo (Hamon) Le and Guy Le.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died before 1194.
