John was born about 1375 in Of, Helagh, Yorks, England.  John's father was Randolph PIGOT and his mother was Johanna De SWALE.  His paternal grandfather was Geoffrey PIGOT and his paternal grandmother is Johanna DE HAWKSWELL; his maternal grandparents are William De SWALE and Mrs-William De SWALE. He had a brother named Geoffrey.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died after June 25th, 1428.
