John was born on April 26th, 1835 in Harborne, Staffordshire, England and his baptism took place on April 26th, 1835 in Harbourne, Staff, Eng.  John's father was William PARRY and his mother was Mary BARNETT.  His paternal grandfather was Thomas PARRY and his paternal grandmother is Cathrine; his maternal grandparents are Daniel BARNETT and Elizabeth OLIVER. He had two brothers and eight sisters, named Francis, Thomas, Angelina, Henrietta, Francis, Mary, Sarah, Phoebe, Hannah and Rosabell.  He died at the age of 67 in 1902.
