Josiah was born in 1654 in Stamford, Connecticut.  Josiah's father was Thomas HUNT and his mother was Cecely Or Cecilia PAISLEY.  His paternal grandfather was Richard HUNT and his paternal grandmother is Mrs. HUNT. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Thomas, John, Thomas Jr., John, Josiah, Edward, Joseph and Abigail.  He died at the age of 78 in 1732 in Westchester Co., New York.
