John was born about 1727 in Of St Phillip, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.  John's father is Durant HIDSON and his mother is Hannah BATE.  His paternal grandparents are Jurant HIDSON and Ann. He had three brothers and a sister, named Durant, Thomas, Josiah and Lydia.  He died on October 3rd, 1798.
