William was born about 1108 in Of, Doncaster, Yorkshire, England.  William's father was Robert FOSSARD and his mother is Osceria.  His paternal grandparents are Nigel FOSSARD and Mrs-Nigel FOSSARD. He had a brother and two sisters, named Geoffrey, Agnes and Emma.  He died in 1169.
