Henry Beagle was a private in Captain Robert Wilson's company of drafed militia under Col. Lafever, of Lancaster County. He entered the service in Chester County, Pennsylvania on or about Sep 8 or 9, 1814, discharged Dec 10, 1814, at Lancaster County or Little York, PA. . . . Henry Beagle applied for pension 27 Jul 1871. The declaration dated 4 Apr 1871, Henry Beagle , age 81 years and resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania declares that he was married; that his wife's name was Mary Beagle, to whom he was married at Philadelphia, PA on the 9 Sep 1816, that he was drafted in Cap. James Wilson's PA Militia, . . . . On Nov 3, 1871 he was awarded eight dollars per month, . . . Relating to pension certificate of Henry Beagle dec'd #7367 War of 1812. . . the pensioner leaves neither widow nor minor children, and was possessed of sufficient estate to defray all expenses of last illness and burial. DEATH: Pennsylvania Vital Records, Registration of Deaths, p.38, FHL F #1003700, "Henry Beagle, age 82 - died of congestion of lungs - residence at 410 St. 5th, Philadelphia, PA located in 6th ward."
