Maria was born in 1781 in St Pieters Rode. Maria's father was Guilielmus Vleminckx and her mother was Susanna Van Steenbeeck.  Her paternal grandparents were Marc Vleminckx and Maria Claes; her maternal grandparents were Jan Van Steenbeeck and Catharina Peeters. She had six brothers named Joannes Baptista, Joannes, Franciscus, Jacobus, Petrus and Joannis Babtista.  She was the youngest of the seven children. She had two half-sisters named Catherina and Anna Catharina.  She died at the age of 65 on February 3rd, 1846 in Sint-Pieters Rode.
