Josephus was born on April 26th, 1901.  Josephus' father was Karel Willem Paternotte and his mother was Joanna Maria Ludovica Palinckx.  His paternal grandparents were Ernestine Paternotte and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Franciscus Palinckx and Constantia Catharina Roef. He had a brother and a sister, named Frans and Marie-Thérèse.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died at 5 months old on October 6th, 1901 in Hoboken.
