Rev Ebinezer Jones

Ebinezer was born on January 21st, 1763 in Kent Co., Dover, Delaware Colony. Ebinezer's father was Zacariah Jones and his mother was Ellen Smith. He was an only child. He died at the age of 99 on March 9th, 1862 in Washington, Daviess Co., Indiana, USA. His burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Washington, Indiana, USA.

General Notes
- Moved to Rown Co., Norht Carolina in mid 1780's. Moved to Indiana Teritory in 1810. Started preaching in the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1781.
  In his own words, "I enlisted under the banner of Christ at a time when his young companions were enlisting under Washington."
  The entire family was recorded in a Bible that was kept with the family in Indiana. The Bible was printed in 1816 and is five by seven inches. It is now located at the Washington Meuseum in Washington, Indiana.
