Carlos' father was Carlos José “Carlucho” Russián Requena and his mother is Andrea “La Muñeca” Mercado Ramos.  His paternal grandparents were Carlos Russián Wietzstruck and Graciela  Requena. He has a brother and four sisters, named Lorenzo, Zulay, María, Marisela and Raquel.
