R' Yisroel's father is HaChoize M'Lublin and his mother is Tehilla Shprintzah.  His paternal grandparents are Reb Avrohom and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents are  Reb Tzvi Hirsch and  <Unknown>.  He is the oldest of four children.  He has three brothers named Reb Yosef, Reb Avrohom and Reb Tzvi.
