John Nelson was born about 1871 in Ambleside, Westmorland, England.1   John Nelson's father was John Turner and his mother is Elizabeth Cawen.  His paternal grandfather is John Nelson Turner; his maternal grandfather is Thomas Cawen.  He had two brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, William, Ann J, Dinah, Elizabeth and Frances.  He died in 1875 in Ambleside, Westmorland, England.  His burial was on January 13th, 1875 in Ambleside, Westmorland, England.
