Stanley was born on October 30th, 1906 in Plumstead. Stanley's father was William Whitaker and his mother was Mabel Pheobe Carter. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Langdon Whitaker and Margaret Maria Smith; his. He was an only child. He died, at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 4 days, on December 4th, 1982 in Greenwich.
