James was born on October 25th, 1789 in suffolk, stonham. James' father was James Bridges and his mother was Elizabeth Scott. His paternal grandparents were Ruben Bridges and Rachel Sewel; his maternal grandparents were John Scott and <Unknown>. He was the second of nine children. He had four brothers and four sisters, named James, Reuben, William, George, Elizabeth, Martha, Elizabeth and Mary. He died, at the age of 3 months and 16 days, on February 10th, 1790 in suffolk, stonham.
