Otho was born in year 1880 in St Lukes, London.  Otho's father was James Peter Coad and his mother was Mary Ann Maryon.  His paternal grandparents were Peter Coad and Elizabeth Bullock; his maternal grandparents were  John Maryon and  Mary.  He was the youngest of six children.  He had three brothers and two sisters, named James, John, Samuel, Rosina and Elizabeth.
