Johannes' father is Johannes Baudrie and his mother is Cornelia Grietje van den Kommer.  His maternal grandparents are  Cornelis  Rudolf van den Kommer - (B tak) and  Wilhelmina Hendrica  Claassen.  He is the third of five children.  He has two brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Rudolph, Margaretha and Jaqueline.
