George was born on April 26th, 1853 in Poznan Poland.  George's father was Valentine William Wisniewski and his mother was Mary Balcer (Wisniewski). He had three brothers named Andrew, Martin and Vincent.  He was the third oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 86 on February 27th, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan.
