Ferenc was born on February 12th, 1882 in Zalkod Szabolcs vm.¹

Ferenc's father was Emánuel Körtvélyessy and his mother was Erzsébet Kerekes.  His paternal grandparents were Ferenc Körtvélyessy and Julianna Suszterits. He had six brothers and two sisters, named József, Gyula, János, Gyula, István, István, Erzsébet and Ilona.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died in an accident or as a result of an injury at the age of 62 on January 14th, 1945 in Budapest XIV. ker..
