Mihály Körtvélyesi

Mihály was born on May 5th, 1844 in Sáp and his baptism took place there on May 12th, 1844.¹   Mihály's father was József Körtvélyesi and his mother was Rebeka Ritók.  His paternal grandparents were András Körtvélyesi and Sára Kurtán. He had three brothers and a sister, named József, András, Bálint and Erzsébet.  He was the second youngest of the five children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Lajos, Mária and Sára.  He died at the age of 39 on November 15th, 1883 in Sáp.²
