István Körtvélyesi

István was born in December 1801 in Vál, Fehér vm and his baptism took place there on December 15th, 1801.¹   István's father was István Körtvélyesi and his mother was Katalin Balogh.  His paternal grandparents were György Körtvélyesi and Éva Pintér. He had three brothers and two sisters, named György, János, István, Katalin and Erzsébet.  He was the oldest of the six children.
