József was born on October 2nd, 1888 in Aba Fejér vm.1  József's father was János Asbóth and his mother was Mária Horváth.  His paternal grandparents were János Asbóth and Mária Bottka. He had two brothers and four sisters, named János, Julianna, Mária, Katalin, Erzsébet and Rozália.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 65 on November 12th, 1953 in Budapest.1
