William was born in 1858.  William's father was William Walker and his mother was Caroline Woodhams.  His paternal grandparents were John Walker and Maria Dewhurst; his maternal grandparents were David Woodhams and Lucy Richardson Thwaites.  He was an only child.  He died  due to an accident on Botany Rd when his horse bolted and he was tossed from sulky as horse went over drains under roads..
