Bridget, known as Kate, was born in 1855.

Kate's father was John Roche Connelly and her mother was Elizabeth (Eliza) Greenfield.  Her maternal grandparents were John Greenfield and Mary ?. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Patrick, Joseph, John, Francis, Charles, Elizabeth, Mary, Johanna, Martha and Annie.  She was the second oldest of the eleven children.  She died at the age of 41 on July 5th, 1896.  She was buried on July 7th, 1896 in Birchip, Victoria.¹
