Novi was born on July 16th, 1980.  Novi's father is Lugito and his mother is Ny Lugito.  His paternal grandfather was Ruslan Hardjosutjitro and his paternal grandmother is Ny. Ruslan. He has a brother and three sisters, named Srijono, Endah, Enny  and Anggraita .  He is the youngest of the five children.
