Ismu was born in 1965.  Ismu's father is Tungkel Harsono and his mother is Iswahyuningsih.  His maternal grandparents are Sumodidjojo and Ny Sumodidjojo. He has three brothers and a sister, named Ismu, Ismu, Ismu and Sri.  He is the third oldest of the five children.
