Bambang Haribowo was born on September 10th, 1951.  Bambang Haribowo's father is R Harjatmo Pringgosaputro and his mother was Sri  Nuksmaningsih.  His maternal grandparents were R Mustotpo Pringgohardjo and Sujati. He has two brothers and two sisters, named Bambang Harsri Nuksmandari Bchk, Bambang Harsri, Endang Harsri Nuksmandari Bchk and Retno Purnomo.  He is the fourth oldest of the five children.
