Peacefully at his residence, RR # 1, Athens on Tuesday November 24, 2009. Stuart Vallentgoed, in his 76th year. Beloved Husband of Sherry Rogers. Dear Father of Lynn (David) Anderson and Susan Vallentgoed both of Alberta. Predeceased by his son, Stuart. Dear Brother of Jean Dack of Gananoque, Arnold Vallentgoed of Kingston and Karen Vallentgoed of Lansdowne. Predeceased by his sister, Sharon Wray. Fondly remembered by grandchildren; Dustin, Jacob, Matthew, Gail and Samantha. Also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews as well as sister-in-law, Gail (David) Baldwin of Manitoba. The family will receive friends at the Scotland Funeral Home, 27 Main Street, Elgin on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Service in Olivet United Church on Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment Olivet Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (Cancer Centre), or Lyndhurst or Olivet United Church would be appreciated by the family
