Samuel was born on January 25th, 1908 in Phila., PA..  Samuel's father was Edward Fleischman and his mother was Sarah Bertha.  His paternal grandparents are Moishe Schmuel Fleischman and Asna Gita Shanker. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Gilbert, Harry E., Leon, Amelia Gertrude, Marion and Anna (Anita). He had three half-sisters named Esther, Naomi and Ruth.  He died at the age of 75 on January 20th, 1984 in Rockville, Maryland.
