James was born in 1892.  James' father was John Squires and his mother was Mary Ann Atkin.  His paternal grandmother was Mary Squires; his maternal grandparents were William Atkin and Betsy Fox. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William, John, Thomas, Frederick, Robert, Annie, Mary, Margaret and Nellie.  He died at the age of 23 on September 25th, 1915.
