Josef  was born on March 5th, 1761 in Ugao Miraballes.  Josef 's father was Juan  Uribarri (Abirisquieta) and his mother was Faviana Goicoechea (Ora).  His paternal grandparents were Domingo Uribarri (Aldecoa) and Maria Abirisquietta (Goiri); his maternal grandparents were Juan  Antonio Goicoechea  (Arezmendi) and Juana Ora  (Oqueluri). He had four brothers named Ramon, Domingo, Antonio and Francisco.  He was the second oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother named Juan.  He died at the age of 70 on June 12th, 1831 in Ugao Miraballes.
