Maria was born on August 12th, 1646 in Ceberio.  Maria's father was Martin Aldecoa (Larravide) and her mother was Marina Zuibarria (Guessala).  Her paternal grandparents are Martin Aldecoa and Catalina Larravide; her maternal grandparents were Pedro Cuibarria (Recalde) and Maria Urtiz Guesala (Areilza). She had four sisters named Catalina, Marina, Marina and Maria.  She was the oldest of the five children.
