Fritz was born on August 24th, 1895 in Quilpue, Chile.  Fritz's father was 177 Hermann Peter Hepp Dittler and his mother was Valeska Auguste Krefft Lotzin. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Hermann Friedrich, Gustav, Carlos, Gustav, Reinhard Ferdinand, Hans, Emma and Valeska.  He was the youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 43 on February 25th, 1939 in Santiago.
