Rabbi Yochanan was born in Stolin, Belarus. Rabbi Yochanan's father was Our master Rabbi Israel Yosef (Yanoka). His paternal grandfather was Our master Rabbi Asher (second). He had five brothers named Rabbi Asher, Rabbi Aaron, Yakov Haim, Rabbi Avraam Elymelech and Rabbi Mosess. He died on December 6th, 1955 in United State. He was buried in Tiberias, Israel.-
