Katherine was born in 1642 in Henrico County,Va.  Katherine's father was Joseph Royall (Immigrated from England to Jamestown in 1662 on the "CHARITIE" - , Plantations including  "Doghams"still stands on the old road between Richmond and Williamsburg. , transported at least 57 Negroes) and her mother was Katharine Banks (Royall Isham) (Bermuda Hundred Plantation) (By her second marriage, she is a direct ancestor of Thomas Jefferson, John Marshall, and Robert E. Lee).  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Royall and Angeline (Royall); her maternal grandparents are Christoper Banks and <Unknown>.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 44 on October 10th, 1686 in Henrico County,Va.
